David Owen is the President and Chief Operating Officer at Pure Industrial. He is responsible for the company’s overall operations, with a focus on company strategy, operations (corporate and real estate), and portfolio management. David has over 12 years of real estate experience, and prior to joining Pure Industrial he spent time at a retail private equity real estate fund manager and prior to this at a privately managed real estate funds group focused on investing in and lending on Canadian urban real estate. He has a Honours B.A. (Economics) from The University of Toronto and is a CFA Charterholder.
As Pure Industrial’s Chief Financial Officer, Hitesh Mistry is responsible for all finance activities and technology operations, including financial & business reporting, data platform, treasury, technology procurement & advancement, and system implementations.
Hitesh joined Pure Industrial in 2022 and has over 17 years of operations experience across multiple industries including temperature-controlled logistics, transportation, and retail/wholesale. Prior to joining Pure Industrial, he was Chief Financial Officer at VersaCold Logistics and earlier worked as Vice President, Finance and Administration at Nova Cold Logistics.
Hitesh holds a Bachelor of Economics degree from Western University and is a Chartered Professional Accountant.
As Pure Industrial’s Senior Vice President, Property Management and Building Operations, Wally Commisso is responsible for overseeing the company’s national property management, building operations, and customer experience functions.
Wally joined Pure Industrial in 2022 and has over 22 years of property management experience. Prior to joining Pure Industrial, Wally was Executive Vice President of Operations and Property Management for Cominar Real Estate Investment Trust, and earlier worked as Vice President of Property Management and Construction for Alexis Nihon Real Estate Investment Trust, having started his career as a project manager with a private developer.
Wally holds a Diploma of College Studies/Diplôme d’études collégiales in Computer Science, as well as numerous certifications in construction and property management.
As Pure Industrial’s Senior Vice President, Leasing, Jonathan Rovira is responsible for all aspects of leasing across the company’s portfolio.
Jonathan joined Pure Industrial in 2013 as Director of Leasing for Eastern Canada and has over 18 years of real estate experience. Prior to joining Pure Industrial, he held leasing positions at GE Capital Real Estate, Oxford Properties, and IGRI Advisors, having begun his career at Colliers International.
Jonathan holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics and Urban Geography from the University of Toronto, and is Pure Industrial’s Broker of Record with the Real Estate Council of Ontario.
Steven Bouffard is Pure Industrial’s Vice President, Asset Management, responsible for maximizing our portfolio’s value and return on investments by developing and overseeing the execution of asset business plans that are in alignment with the company’s strategy.
Steven joined Pure Industrial in 2022 and has 15 years of real estate experience. Prior to joining Pure Industrial, Steven was Executive Director, Office and Industrial Leasing at Cominar Real Estate Investment Trust and earlier worked as General Manager, Commercial Operations at CAPREIT and Leasing Manager at GM Développement.
Steven holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from the University of Quebec, a Diploma of College Studies/Diplôme d’études collégiales in Accounting from Cégep Limoilou, and a Real Property Administrator (RPA) designation from BOMI. He is also actively involved in the real estate community as President of the Quebec Regional Council and an Executive Board Member of the Urban Development Institute of Quebec.
As Pure Industrial’s Vice President, Capital Projects, Tim Donald is responsible for leading the Capital Projects team in areas including the company’s Environmental and Sustainability platform, corporate CAPEX program, and landlord & tenant work. Tim also supports the growing development pipeline and the execution of the yearly capital budget.
Tim joined Pure Industrial in 2020 and has 14 years of property management and development experience. Prior to joining Pure Industrial, Tim worked in Construction and Development at Dymon Capital, and held progressively senior roles with Oxford Properties Group.
Tim holds an Honours Bachelor of Arts degree in Urban Development from Western University, as well as designations in project management, property/facility administration, such as Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) AP from the Canada Green Building Council (CAGBC), PMP from the Project Management Institute, and RPA and FMA from BOMI Canada.
As Pure Industrial’s Vice President, Development, Michael Duff is responsible for existing asset expansions and all development activities from site selection through successful completion and handover to client.
Michael joined Pure Industrial in 2021 and has over 17 years of development experience. Prior to joining Pure Industrial, Michael was Director, Development with Beedie, and earlier worked in development for The Goldman Group and Oxford Properties. Michael has extensive experience in all asset classes, though has a strong passion for industrial land development.
Michael holds a Bachelor of Applied Arts degree in Urban and Regional Planning from Toronto Metropolitan University.
As Pure Industrial’s Vice President, Legal Affairs, Andrée Lemay-Roux is responsible for overseeing the Legal Affairs department, managing internal governance and risk assessment matters, and implementing interdepartmental processes.
Andrée joined Pure Industrial in 2022 and has legal experience in both private practice and real estate organizations. Prior to joining Pure Industrial, Andrée held various legal positions with Cominar Real Estate Investment Trust.
Andrée holds a Law Degree from Université Laval and has been practicing law as a member of the Québec Bar since 2010.
As Pure Industrial’s Vice President, Customer Experience, Deanna Ramoul is responsible for all aspects of the customer experience across the company’s real estate platform.
Deanna joined Pure Industrial in 2013 and has held various roles including Senior Property Manager, Director of Property Management and Vice President, Property Management. She has 21 years of real estate experience. Prior to joining Pure Industrial, Deanna worked as a Property Manager with organizations including GE Capital Real Estate and Avison Young Commercial Real Estate.
Deanna holds a Legal Assistant diploma with honours from Canadore College, and a Real Property Administrator (RPA) designation from BOMI.
As Pure Industrial’s Vice President, Human Resources, Sommer Stewart is responsible for leading the company in creating a progressive, values-aligned culture and work environment, and for scaling and transforming the company’s HR department.
Sommer joined Pure Industrial in 2022 and has over 13 years of HR experience across private and provincial organizations. Prior to joining Pure Industrial, Sommer was Vice President, People & Culture at First Capital Real Estate Investment Trust and earlier worked with the Ontario Energy Board and eHealth Ontario.
Sommer holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from Western University, and a post-graduate certificate from the Rotman School of Management’s Advanced Program in Human Resources Management. She is also a Certified Human Resources Leader (CHRL) with the Human Resources Professionals Association (HRPA).
As Pure Industrial’s Vice President, Property Management Eugen Stoenescu is responsible for the daily operations of the Property Management department, including implementing standard operating procedures and leading the team’s customer service approach.
Eugen joined Pure in 2013 and has 20 years experience in property management, including internationally, having worked in the UK, Austria and Romania.
Eugen holds a Bachelor’s degree Engineering, Electrics from Constanta Maritime University, a Diploma in Computer Programming & Networking and a Diploma in Property Management (Rental & Strata) from the University of British Columbia’s Sauder School of Business.
As Pure Industrial’s Vice President and Head of Technology, Mélanie Vallée is responsible for leading the company’s Technology team in the development of internal and external strategies and innovative IT best practices supporting business growth.
Mélanie joined Pure Industrial in 2022 and has over 25 years of technology experience across industries including real estate, telecommunications, media, and retail.
Prior to joining Pure Industrial, Mélanie was Vice President, Data and Technology at Cominar Real Estate Investment Trust and earlier worked with Westfield, a US-based shopping centre company.
Mélanie holds Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Communications Sciences from the University of Montreal. She was the recipient of the Governor General of Canada’s Award for Academic Achievement.
